Pakpod – the Ultimate Adventure Tripod!

For the dad who is ALWAYS on the go and ALWAYS bring his camera…  The DSLR and GoPro come with us on many of our adventures and I cannot tell you how many times we wished that we had a rugged tripod. The Pakpod is the ultimate adventure tripod. It weighs less than a pound and can collapse and fold about to just about a foot long.

The Pakpod is not only super lightweight, but it’s also waterproof! This will help you grab footage on the lake, in the pool, even in a rain storm. It can hold your smartphone or action cam or DSLR which makes it a great go-to tripod when you’re out exploring.

You also have the option to purchase a set of rounded tip Safe Stakes which would come in handy when mounting Pakpod on the body or when pointed stakes could be dangerous. Retail price is $99.

CampMaid Dutch Oven Cooking System

CampMaid 6 Piece Combo

I think what has impressed us the most with the CampMaid dutch oven is its extreme versatility.  This 6-piece combo comes with the following pieces: CampMaid 12′ Pre-Seasoned Dutch Oven, CampMaid Lid Lifter, CampMaid Flip Grill, CampMaid Charcoal/Wood Holder Heat Source, CampMaid KickStand and the CampMaid Heavy Duty Carry Bag.

This isn’t your Grandma’s dutch oven – it’s way better!

A CampMaid system can be used as a griddle, smoker, grill, steamer, pizza oven, frying pan, baking pot, and more!

Check out how easy it was for us to make a delicious BBQ Bacon Chicken Pizza on our CampMaid!

Inflatable Kayak

There are few things more peaceful than a quiet kayak on the lake.  Standard kayaks are not only pricey but also require space to store them and the ability to drive them to the water’s edge.  Inflatable kayaks are a great option for the occasional kayak-er.  They take up very little room when stored and are easy to inflate with a pump.

We have the Intex Challenger K2 Kayak, 2-Person Inflatable Kayak Set with Aluminum Oars and High Output Air Pump (actually we have two of them).  That way each adult can cruise the lake with one of the kids.  There is also a single model available if you’d prefer a one-seater.

Another advantage to these kayaks is the price.  You can usually find the single passenger version for around $65 and the double-passenger version for around $85.

Enameled Steel Percolator Coffee Pot

Enjoy coffee in the great outdoors, made the “old fashioned” way.  Bring along your ground coffee and fresh water, and let the campfire do the rest.  This Enameled Steel Percolator Coffee Pot makes 8 cups of coffee at a time.

FireDragon FDBL Multipurpose Fireplace Tool

This handy tool makes campfire building a good bit easier.  The FireDragon FDBL Multipurpose Fireplace Tool will help get your campfire burning quicker.  The hollow center allows you to blow air right into the heat of your fire, which helps it to catch faster.  It also doubles as a handy poker and fire rake!

Backpack Rain Cover

These lightweight backpack rain covers are a great convenience item to have on hand when heading into the outdoors.  Lightweight and easy to store, you pull these covers out to throw over your backpack in a heavy downpour.  They will help to keep the contents in your backpack nice and dry, even in the wettest of weather.

Gerber Gator Combo Axe II

Whether you’re forging a path in the brush, or simply cutting some kindling for the fire, having an axe in your supply pack is never a bad idea.  The Gerber Gator Combo Axe II is a nice choice because it is not only a basic axe for chopping, it also has a 10-inch saw blade that is store in the axe handle.

Beer Bottle Cooler

Keep your bottle of beer cold, not to mention hidden, in this handy Beer Bottle Cooler.  The outside is stainless steel and it also comes with a neoprene sleeve that slides over the cooler.

Set of Silicone Wine Glasses

These are not just for wine!  These silicone glasses are really perfect for ANY beverage that you want to enjoy outdoors (camping, pools, hot tubs, beach, etc).  No worries if they drop (besides losing your beverage of course) – they eliminate the possibility of broken glass.

BLACK+DECKER LSW60C 60V Max Power Boost Blower

Power blowers are great to have on hand for clearing off a campsite – especially a wooded site that sits under a bunch of trees.
