As you wrap up another year of school, or season of sports, many of us like to give a gift of appreciation to that special teacher or coach. This beef jerky teacher gift idea is PERFECT! It’s a great treat to and out to teachers or coaches and it can match any price point. Give the jerky by itself or add a gift card if you want to “up” the value. Get our free printable tags below.
Beef Jerky Teacher Gift
Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week in May here in the US. This fun spin on a teacher or coach gift would also work great for the last day of the school year (or sports season).
We are excited to add to our collection of teacher gift ideas today with this beef jerky themed gift and printable tag! This present is very easy to put together and you can use any brand of beef jerky and any style package. For our example, we grabbed a variety of Jack Links sticks and we chose non-refrigerated varieties.
Beef jerky is widely accessible and sold at many different store types. Head to your local store and purchase whichever variety you think your gift recipient will enjoy!
Beef jerky makes a great gift! It is a great, protein-rich snack and super portable. The shelf life typically gives you months to keep the jerky on hand before it expires.
“Wild” Teacher Gift Supplies
This gift is a simple little treat to put together and does not require many supplies. I decided to use a red and black buffalo check plaid ribbon and I am SO glad that I did. It really brought the whole look into focus and I am thrilled with the end result!
Here is what you will need for this gift:
- Package of Beef jerky (1 bag or multiple sticks)
- Rubber band
- Ribbon (here’s the buffalo plaid pack that I bought)
- Our printable tags (see below)
- Single hole puncher

How to Assemble these Gifts
You can put these gifts together in just a few minutes! Follow the steps below:
1. Print out our free printable gift tags. Cut the tags out and use a hole puncher to punch a single hole in each tag. You can sign (or have your kiddo sign) the back of the tag if you’d like.
2. Gather your beef jerky. If you are using jerky sticks like I did, use a rubber band to hold them together. I positioned the jerky sticks so that the labels are visible to the outside.
3. Tie your decorative ribbon around the rubber band (try to use the ribbon to cover up as much of the rubber band as possible). Tie the gift tag onto the ribbon and finish by tying the ribbon into a bow.
Your gift is ready to give!
Doesn’t it look really great? I just love how it turned out. The colors all tie into the theming perfectly.
I hope that you have an much fun giving these gifts as I did making them. Make sure you skim the other free printables that are up on the site while you’re here. I have even more printables in my Etsy store.
