RV Shows Aren’t Just for Buying
Have you ever been to an RV show? These multi-day events typically occur over a weekend and take up a LOT of space at area convention halls or an expo center.
RV shows are an enjoyable event no matter what your rv lifestyle is. Check out a camping show for ideas and inspiration, as well as touring more rv models than you could ever find at an individual dealership.
RV Shows are great because they give attendees the opportunity to check out a LOT of different RV brands, models and talk to many different RV dealers. Sometimes you can actually talk to representatives from various RV manufacturers who travel in to work the show.
Shows can be a great time and place to purchase a new camper because many times the dealers will offer special rv show pricing (discounts) or other bonus incentives that are ONLY available during the RV show. Even if you aren’t currently in the market for a new RV, it can be fun to wander around a show and see the different units.
RV Shows give you the chance to climb inside and all around hundreds of different camper floorplans. You can check out shower sizes, pantry space, kid bunkhouses, outdoor kitchens and more.
These events are truly a one-stop-shop for seeing just about all there is to see. No matter what type of RV you are interested in, an RV show is where the RV industry shows it all. You will find all types of recreational vehicles at these shows, including: Class C, Class B, Class A motorhomes, Pop up campers, travel trailers, fifth wheels and camper vans!
Most RV shows also offer vendor space that can be a lot of fun to browse. Walk around and meet campground owners, purchase camping gifts and gadgets from small businesses and more. It is a great way to learn about the latest camping accessories and gear.
What time of year are RV shows in Pennsylvania?
Honestly, there is no set season for RV shows. Even here in Pennsylvania, where we have 4 very distinct seasons, you can find RV shows year round.
Most of the shows happen on the same weekend each year, but of course you’ll want to check each year for a confirmed date before heading out.

Our Experience at PA RV Shows
We have personally attended the following PA RV Shows before (each one more than once):
- Allentown RV Show at the Allentown Fairgrounds
- Greater Philadelphia RV Show at the Greater Philly Expo Center
- Hershey RV Show at the Giant Center (right next to Hersheypark)
They were all good shows and worth the visit! The Allentown show seemed a bit smaller than Oaks, but they still had a good number of units to explore. Oaks was a really good size and offered many units and many different dealers. We actually bought our RV at the Oaks RV show a few years ago.
Hershey. Oh, Hershey. If you have never been to the Hershey RV Show… you will want to add it to your list! The Hershey RV Show is truly a spectacle to behold. Touted as the “largest RV show in America,” I have never seen so many RVs in one location before. The trailers cover acres and acres of the parking lot and there are more units plus plenty of vendors inside the Giant Center. Bring water, stay hydrated, wear comfy shoes and plan to spend at least one day at the Hershey Show! (You might need more than one day to cover it all!)
