Okay, yes, North Carolina is getting two entries. We have stayed at the Cape Hatteras KOA and it was one of our all-time favorite campgrounds! This beachfront campground allowed us to combine two of our favorite things – the Outer Banks and camping. We stayed in a full-hookup site and were just a stone’s throw from the beach. This campground was well-kept and had a big pool and a huge inflatable air pillow that the kids jumped on throughout the week. The clubhouse was big and clean and offered a cafe, a small store, laundry facilities and more. You can read our in-depth review of this campground here.
