If you are looking for a quick and easy gift idea for teachers, ESPECIALLY if you have many teachers (like a whole faculty!) to give to, this is the perfect choice. I am so thrilled to add this free printable to my collection of teacher gift ideas. Teacher Appreciation Week is an annual celebration held in the United States during the first full week of May.
Want to give more? It’s super each to attach a gift card to these fish treats if you are looking to “up” the value of the gift. That’s why we love these token of appreciation gifts… they can easy to add to or you can give them as-is, depending on your budget and how many teachers you want to gift to.
You might recognize this box of Swedish Fish as a movie theater style box of candy sold at places like the Dollar Tree. (That’s where we picked up our fish!) Of course, Swedish Fish can be purchased in MANY different varieties and quantities. A quick search online shows small bags, big bags, boxes, and even bulk Swedish Fish.
I love this fishing teacher gift ideas for a few reasons. Not only does it take a very minimal amount of time to assemble, but it’s also a pretty SWEET treat themed token of appreciation. I like the outdoor theming and the punny play on words using the word “reel” to stand in for the word “real.” It is a creative and easy gift for kids to give to teachers.

I recommend printing these tags out on white card stock to make them a bit sturdier than standard printer paper.
How to Assemble the Gifts
Follow the simple steps below to assemble these adorable Swedish Fish gifts:
1. Print out our gift tags on cardstock and cut them out. The printable download is a PDF file that can be opened with any PDF viewer (such as Adobe Acrobat).
2. Punch a hole in the top of each tag with a single hold puncher. You can add a teacher’s name to the back and have your kiddo sign it if you’d like!
3. Place a piece of twine through the tag and either tie the twine around the pack of fish, or tape it in place. I used a small piece of clear tape on the back of the box to secure the tag where I wanted it.
That’s it! Ready to gift!
