Camping Recipes Can Be Simple AND Delicious
Out of all of the meals and recipes you might try out in your camper, a baked chicken might not be the first thing that comes to mind. When we first started camping and heading out on multi-night trips away from home, we kept the cooking super simple. We used our camping grill to make burgers and hot dogs, cooked easy skillet meals, and sometimes even tried out some foil packet dinners.
Slowly but surely we branched out a little with our cooking. Our Instant Pot quickly became a staple in our camper. We love cooking up easy Instant Pot recipes when camping. Not far behind that pressure cooker came the air fryer! We love these air fryer cajun wings and of course, a family favorite dessert is air fryer s’mores (no campfire required)!
Easy Air Fryer Cornish Hen Recipe
This cornish hen recipe is DELICIOUS! If you are familiar with cornish game hens, you know that these little chickens are much smaller than the traditional chickens you might roast in your oven. They are still very flavorful and make a tasty dinner dish, but their size makes them a great option for most standard air fryers.
As always, we tried to keep the ingredient list short for this camper-friendly recipe. Don’t worry about the chicken lacking flavor though – this recipe is loaded with delicious flavor! If you have a bigger air fryer, you can cook a couple cornish hens at a time. If your unit is smaller, you can cook them individually.
Average sized cornish hens typically provide 1-2 servings per hen.
