Gift Baskets are Great Gifts

We just LOVE a good gift basket!

Gift baskets are fun to put together and even more fun to give to friends and family. A popular way to compile a gift basket is to come up with a specific theme for the basket. Then you add goodies to the basket that are related to that theme. You can add small items that match your theme and you can make a gift basket at pretty much any price point.

The themes are pretty much endless and limited only by your imagination. You can make gift baskets with sports themes, hobby themes, food themes, travel adventures, even color themes.

This basket was so easy to put together and I wanted to share exactly what it included so you can replicated it if you’d like. When I gathered items for this basket I was thinking about those cozy nights around the campfire. I thought about spring and fall camping when there is a little chill in the air and you want to enjoy the heat of the campfire while snuggling under a fleece blanket. Those nights are perfect for roasting some marshmallows and enjoying s’mores treats.

I tend to sip on a hot coffee or hot chocolate during chilly nights around the fire, though warm cider or wine also make fantastic beverage choices.

After you round up your purchases for the basket, you can pack them in however you’d like.

What to Add to A Campfire Gift Basket

First, you need to choose a basket! I opted for a wooden crate that I picked up at Michael’s (similar to this crate). I love the rustic look of a wooden crate and could see the recipient using the crate for storage long after the s’mores supplies have been consumed!

Here are some additional details about these items:

Camping Journal

Perfect for any RV owner (though you can certainly use this journal without an RV!)… this is our camping journal. We wrote it and self-published it and use it ourselves to record our camping memories. The camping log is a wonderful way to make notes about your campsite and the campground as you adventure to new places!

S’mores Essentials

You only need three ingredients to enjoy this iconic campfire treat. Pick up some chocolate bars, a box of graham crackers and a bag of marshmallows for your campfire gift basket. We love the big, square-shaped marshmallows made specifically with s’mores in mind, but any regular marshmallows would work great.

Campfire Roasting Sticks

If you frequently roast marshmallows over an open flame and don’t have these skewers, you are missing out. These roasting sticks are telescoping and allow marshmallows to roast over the hot fire while allowing you to stand back from the heat.

Smores Supplies

Fleece Blanket

A soft and cozy fleece blanket is the perfect layer to cut the chill on a cool evening.

Insulated Travel Mug

An insulated mug with a lid is the perfect container to hold any hot beverage you might want to indulge in around the campfire. (They’ll keep cold drinks chilly too, so it works great for whatever you’re in the mood for.) We just love this Happy Camper Tervis mug – it is SO cute!

These fun items all came together so nicely and I was really happy with the end result! This camping themed gift basket is ready to give!
